What to Bring

PersonnelSo you're on your way out the door to visit DHWC, and you need to know what to bring with you. Well, here's the list of things we recommend having when you come:

  • A Bible. If you don't have a Bible, don't worry! We have one we will give you, but we believe that the Bible is God's love letter to humanity. So we study it every chance we get. Usually, we study out of the Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB), but we're not particular. In our services, you will find people using the New International Version (both 1984 and 2011), King James Version, New Living Translation, The Message, New American Standard Bible, and more. If you have a favorite version that you understand, that's the one to bring!
  • A pen. Just in case you want to take notes. Or doodle in the bulletin.
  • A sense of humor. We don't take ourselves too seriously, so this is pretty important.
  • A desire to meet with God. This is the single most important thing to bring. If you leave it at home, you had just as well not even come. This is our desire every time we meet together, that the Lord would reveal Himself in some way to us. After all, isn't that what church is about?
